Workshops & School Visits

Kathy presents to children in preschools, elementary schools, libraries, and bookstores. She also presents to educators at ECE conferences and to primary teachers in professional development workshops.

School presentations are interactive as students are invited to hiss like snakes, grow like trees and breathe like the ocean while they guess riddles and try out various yoga poses.

Presentations for educators offer a user-friendly approach to children’s yoga while playing with language (rhymes), incorporation problem solving (riddles) and supporting the new reader with repetition and visual cues.

Nature Education, Daily Physical Activity, Mindfulness, Play-Based Learning and Self-Regulation are some of the current topics in education today. The Yoga Game series and the Strong Nations Yoga Cards offer powerful and engaging tools to explore these topics in a non-competitive, fun-filled way.

Note: Presentations are ‘hands-on’. Participants need space to move and are encouraged to experiment with yoga poses, to play with sound and enjoy the rhythm of riddles and rhymes.

  • Presentations for young children – (Preschool to K) are 30 minutes
  • Presentations for older children – (Primary Grades) are 30 – 60 minutes
  • Workshops for teachers/childcare providers are approximately 2 hours.
  • Kathy follows rates recommended by CWILL and CANSCAIP.  Contact Kathy to book a visit.

  1. Kathy embodies the principles of yoga in her personal life, in her personal yoga practice and in her yoga teaching. She is light and bright, always encouraging her students to relax, to find balance and to let go of the demands we place on ourselves and which daily life places upon us.

Kathy Beliveau is a remarkable yoga teacher and person. I highly recommend her. If I had to choose one word to describe Kathy’s teaching it would be: transformational. She has the ability to inspire and change everyone who meets her.

  2. Kathy’s commitment to her students is immense. She is an excellent role model on living the yogi life and successfully shows others- as opposed to tell – how to live. She has a fantastic ability to connect with others and create a community of friends. Her love of people and life shines through her smile, words and actions. Support, inclusion and joy are some of the words that run synonymous with Kathy and her instructive abilities.
